You’re regularly creating content in the form of blogs, emails, and social media posts. But are you confident that everything you write is grammatically correct?
Well, if you’re like many of the photographers I know, you’ll admit that photography is one of your strengths but writing may not be. So, chances are that there’s room for improvement when it comes to your writing.
In which case, you’ll be pleased to hear then that I’m sharing with you details of a free grammar checker tool. A tool that I believe will literally transform your writing.
That tool is Grammarly.
Grammarly: ‘The world’s most accurate online grammar checker’
Grammarly is a writing app. It can check anything you write for up to 250 types of potential mistakes.
It identifies grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors, and lots of other things besides. Meaning that you need not publish copy with a single spelling, punctuation or grammatical error ever again!
The folks at Grammarly claim that it’s “the world’s most accurate online grammar checker” and that it is used by literally millions of people.
From personal experience, I can tell you that it is a brilliant grammar checker tool. Best of all, it’s completely FREE! (Although there is a Premium option available too).
Whether writing for personal or work reasons, it may not concern you too much if you publish something and then later discover that you put a comma or punctuation mark in the wrong place.
But I would urge you to recognise this.
Clear, easy to read, accurate and well-written copy is what you should always be striving for.
This is true regardless of the purpose of your writing or the channel that you are writing on.
So, what you are putting out on your social media channels, on your blog, in your emails, and in your newsletters matters!
If you have made mistakes in your copy, just think what potential harm that this is doing.
The importance of error-free copy
Consider the impression that people get of your business if your copywriting is full of errors.
Mistakes make your writing look sloppy.
They may wrongly assume that you aren’t detail-focussed. Or that you don’t care about producing high-quality work.
So, since you have worked so hard to build your business and your reputation, don’t let something minor like spelling and grammar let you down. Especially when there are free grammar checker tools like Grammarly available.
Make spelling and grammar mistakes a thing of the past
Grammar checker tools such as Grammarly make even the most simple mistakes a thing of the past.
The app is really simple to use and ensures everything you write is mistake-free and, well, perfect. Plus there is a free browser extension for Chrome. So once downloaded onto your computer, Grammarly can check literally everything you write. Whether that’s on Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and almost everywhere else on the web.
